ORNAMENT'S RYTHM
During this workshop we will think what the ornament is and how it is made. We will look closely at different patterns and try to describe their typical rhythms and sets. Ornaments are formed by codes which can be recreated thanks to mathematical calculations. We will try to create the patterns that are the basis of the original graphic creations.

PATTERN'S SPAN
Patterns are all around us, they emerge both in a planned and a spontaneous way. Both mathematical sequence of numbers and the setting of bark on a tree trunk are patterns. During this workshop we will arrange patterns from seemingly uncontrollable colourful ink smears.

The classes last 90 minutes. They consist of two parts: a 30 minutes illustrated lecture and two manual tasks conducted with the support of materials we prepare.
