REBUILDING A PICTURE education stage I, II, III
Tags: photography, illusion, contour, variety of lines

SCAPE BUILT BY SMEAR
How can we build a picture? We use various artistic means for it. These are, among others, lines and smears that form a layout, perspective and colouring and in this way create mood and expression. During this workshop we will create a scape by using the matter of smears, the patterns of which have been taken from the nature. The basic pictures we will create are open structures which can be modelled and rebuilt by using blotchy forms in a not necessarily realistic way.

LINES IN A SCAPE
There are many kinds of lines. Each line can be completely different – short, long, heavy or ephemeral and barely visible, it can be straight and distinct or twisted in fancy weaves. This variety of lines helps express in a picture the dynamics of changing reality. By observing lines in reality we will learn to use them to build our own compositions and stories.
