WORKSHOPS BASE FOR SCHOOLS 2012/2013
Education, Schools and preschools
Basing on the general education programme, MWW has prepared an offer of educational workshops addressed to primary schools, junior high schools and high schools. The classes consist of two parts. During a 30 minutes illustrated lecture we will introduce the audience to the chosen problem, beginning with explaining its genesis and ending with the examples of works by contemporary artists. We dedicate the next 60 minutes to two manual games, based on the visual aids designed by us and some materials we prepare.
The exercises allow to see the visual world’s polysemy and, at the same time, they familiarize the participants with basic visual terms. In our activities we concentrate on cherishing children’s imagination which enables a fresh perspective on the world. We underline the importance of active experience of the creative process. When working on a collaborative task, the discussion emerges as well as the fascination with mutual difference and multitude of possible solutions.
