1.00–3.00 pm, free admission
We would like to invite all seniors to afternoon meetings with contemporary art. The two-hour classes will include a tour of the exhibition and an exchange of opinions over a cup of tea.
The January meeting will be an opportunity to ask questions about the limits of sculpture. In the first part, we will look at some of the most interesting examples of artists whose creativity changed our thinking about what sculpture can be. Can light and space be a sculptural material? Does a sculpture have to imitate the forms known to us? Can a sculpture be made in a factory? These are just a few questions that will awaken our imagination and prepare us for an active tour of the exhibition entitled Time – Remains, Fragments, Signs by Alojzy Gryt, a sculptor from Wrocław known, among other things, for his design of the glass fountain in the Market Square in Wrocław.
Detailed information about the subjects of future meetings will follow soon.
The assembly point is on level 0, next to the ticket office.
