All parents with their children are welcome to join us each Sunday at 1:30 PM. All workshops take one hour and consist of two parts. First, we visit the up-to-date exhibition together and we talk about the works presented there. During the second part of the workshop we take up manual activities that enable everybody to creatively use their awaken sensitivity and imagination.

During the meeting we will visit the PUNXDEFEKTUOZOZ exhibition, which is connected with the currently produced film about Mexican punk culture. It will be an opportunity to take an anthropological trip around the world to learn about different subcultures. We will think together about what they are, what characterises and differs them. During the practical part, each family as
a distinct community will create their own characteristic image.

15.11.2015 HERBARIUM

This time inspiration will be provided by an artwork titled Herbarium, which is presented in the New Art for New Society exhibition of Zagreb Contemporary Museum collection. The artists making up the FOKUS group documented their conversations with friends using short notes and dried plants, which resulted in the creation of an unusual journal-herbarium. We are also going to talk and walk in search of the last leaves, grasses and flowers, which we will later use to florally document certain events.

22.11.2015 MUSHROOMS

This workshop will take place in the Self-service Museum on the second floor of MWW. Part of this section is pitch black. We are going to look for mushrooms inside the Earth. These special organisms consist of veins, tubes and small tunnels that assume extraordinary forms. They also have a characteristic smell and taste, which in the practical part will inspire us to make installations that stir the senses.

29.11.2015 WONDERLAND

During this workshop we will visit Ania Gubernat and Magdalena Kmiecik’s exhibition Wonder’land as well as other magical places, such as the Other Side of the Mirror, Far Far Away and Neverland. Sometimes artists invite us to unusual places made up by them. We are also going to create our own lands, shape their landscapes and tell local legends.

All the workshops are free, but please register via:
