Education, Children, Families
workshops take place every sunday at 1:30 PM on the 1st floor. Free admission. Obligatory registration via email before workshops
All parents with their children are welcome to join us each Sunday at 1:30 PM. All workshops take one hour and consist of two parts. First, we visit the up-to-date exhibition together and we talk about the works presented there. During the second part of the workshop we take up manual activities that enable everybody to creatively use their awaken sensitivity and imagination.
7.8.2016 #concept-shape #Dróżdż #stamp
On this Sunday afternoon we will learn who Stanisław Dróżdż was, what kind of art he made and why he termed his pieces “concept-shapes”. We will go together to see all the original works as Stanisław Dróżdż showed them at the Foksal Gallery in Warsaw in 1994. In the practical part, we will make our own “concept-shapes” in the form of stamps.
14.8.2016 I’M PINK AND I’M BLUE
During this workshop we will try to find out why girls wear pink dresses while boys wear blue t-shirts, and then we will discuss what gender is. We will also go to the Labor Relations exhibition and see Laurie Kang’s work under the title Deferring Beings. The artist encourages us to take a stance in the ongoing discussion about culture codes and their impact on gender. In the practical part, we will make installations showing our opinions on this issue.
21.8.2016 BODY ART
During this Sunday’s meeting we will see a presentation about “body art”. We will also learn what “performance” and “happening” are. Then we will see Antonio Paucar’s work Somersault in Yves Klein Blue, in which the human body becomes a painting tool. In the practical part, we will prepare a performance using our bodies to make a picture-happening. Please take working clothes with you.
All the workshops are free, but please register via: firstname.lastname@example.org
