GARDEN PARTY 25.06.13–27.06.13

Referring to the idea of a park festival, a celebration of children’s art, Wrocław Contemporary Museum will enter the charming city garden to arrange there a visually splendid party. During the 1st New Theatre for Children Festival a group of animators from MWW will come to the Old City Park and introduce there a reversed, magical order of reality, which will make it develop some surprising features and become disturbingly beautiful.

In an atmosphere of exceptionality and frivolous play we will create a “Garden Party” installation, which will include tables integrated with the garden space and well-filled with fanciful delicacies. We will make our imagination run wild and together we will decorate plaster cakes and tartlets, and we will transform items we will find into appetizingly looking titbits. An unusual arrangement of the park co-created by participants of the Festival will bring magical order in there and provide a colourful setting for MWW’s workshops.

During the garden party our guests will have an opportunity to enrich its view of reality by means of the World Mixer and make some exercises from a brochure of Exhibition Starter written by Patrycja Mastej. An additional attraction will be painting an imagined World Panorama, which – just like other activities – is inspired by LUXUS group’s artistic output.

Our actions are open to public and available for everyone visiting the Old City Park.
