The LaMuz Flying Museum is a project aiming at making the concrete walls of the MWW’s seat in the former air-raid shelter more permeable. LaMuz is a travelling museum. Works by Polish contemporary artists will be “taken out” of the exhibition space and inserted into a new context of the yards in small Lower Silesian villages (Boleścin, Karczyce, Uraz). Over the period of nine weeks (May, June, July), nine works will make a symbolic journey with the youngest inhabitants (there will be three “flights” to each of the destinations). While travelling with the artists, educators and animators (several-hour workshops far from the Museum, which they normally do not visit), the young people will have an opportunity to discover contemporary artworks and interpret them in a creative way. The works and the ensuing actions will become a pretext for instilling sensitivity and stimulating the children’s imagination, which is indispensable for understanding art and the surrounding reality.

The exhibition summrising our tour of the Lower Silesian villages is available on the firts floor of the Wrocław Contemporary Museum.
