Education, Children, Families
All parents with their children are welcome to join us each Sunday at 1:30 PM. All workshops take one hour and consist of two parts. First, we visit the up-to-date exhibition together and we talk about the works presented there. During the second part of the workshop we take up manual activities that enable everybody to creatively use their awaken sensitivity and imagination.
The schedule of activities:
This time we are going to look at art created out of materials coming straight from the world of nature. Branches, leaves, grasses, sand and pebbles are materials willingly used by contemporary artists. We will also use them to create our own ecological artworks.
11.08 Art at Fun Fair
Is it possible to make an artwork out of mascots, plushies and cuddly toys, blocks and robots? Apparently yes! These are artworks at which we are going to have a look during this workshop. We will look for them at the LUXUS exhibition, and then we will create artistic toy installations of our own.
18.08 Artistic Labyrinths
The shelter being the seat of the Contemporary Museum was constructed as a round building. That means that when walking straight after some time we would get back to the same place. With this shape the building is like a labyrinth. During the workshop we are going to investigate other works of art relating to the idea of labyrinth, and then we will develop our own artistic traps.
25.08 Artist’s Eye
During this workshop we will muse on how we see the world that surrounds us. We will have a look at artworks which confuse our sight with different illusions. Next we will play artists-magicians and use the tricks that we will learn to create our own works in the op-art style.
All the workshops are free, but please register via: firstname.lastname@example.org
