SUNDAY FAMILY WORKSHOPS
— November
03.11.13–24.11.13 Start: 13.30, I poziom, Beautiful Tube Start: 1:30 PM, Level I, Beautiful Tube

All parents with their children are welcome to join us each Sunday at 1:30 PM. All workshops take one hour and consist of two parts. First, we visit the up-to-date exhibition together and we talk about the works presented there. During the second part of the workshop we take up manual activities that enable everybody to creatively use their awaken sensitivity and imagination.

3.11 PHOTOS AND RIDDLES

Photos of Adrian Lach and Kacper Stolorz tell unsolved, mysterious stories. During the workshop we will try to solve artistic riddles by our own and to reconstruct appearance of those extraordinary creatures on the basis of different kind of traces.

10.11 ANIMALS OUT OF DREAMS

The workshop will focus on the works of Eva Kotatkowa. On the exhibition we can find collages that depict fascinating hybrid creatures: flying fish, half child – half bird, half women – half book. We will observe reality that cannot be judged in a rational way and the connections between its elements are not obvious. Then we will create amazing creatures that come form the word of dreams.

17.11 ART LABORATORY

In her works Eva Kotatkowa uses drawings and photography that depict experiments, operations and unusual utensils. We will look at them and dressed as scientists we will perform works in our own artistic laboratory.

24.11 WE HAVEN’T BEEN HERE YET

During the workshops we will visit Jiri Kovanda’s exhibition. This artist often enters into the public space in a subtle manner. His ephemeral interventions will serve us as an inspiration for actions we will perform on the second floor of Wrocław Contemporary Museum where one settlement of Wrocław, namely Szczepin has been quoted.

All the workshops are free, but please register via: edukacja@muzeumwspolczesne.pl
