Programme of Sunday Family Workshops
/ April 2021:
3.04.2022 / SPATIAL PORTRAIT / 1.30–3.00 PM
During the workshop, we will visit the exhibition Private Mythologies. Marta’s Birthday to see Natalia LL’s work entitled Warrant of Arrest. We will look at this strange cube composed of a photograph of a man in a striped shirt, and then we will go to Jerzy Ludwiński Archive. In the practical part, inspired by the work of Natalia LL, we will make spatial portraits of our relatives or friends.
Workshop led by Ignacy Oboz.
10.04.2022 / IN SEARCH OF GAPS / 1.30–3.00 PM
As part of the workshop, we will look for gaps, empty spaces, openings and cracks in the museum and in the museum yard. We will document our discoveries by taking photos with mobile phones and Polaroids. We will then compare our artistic compositions with photographs featured at Małgorzata Wachowicz’s exhibition Gaps and Empty Spaces.
Workshop led Grażyna Kryńska.
24.04.2022 / LAYING THE TABLE FOR THE GUEST / 1.30–3.00 PM
During the workshop, we will pay a visit to Monika Drożyńska’s exhibition Warning! Bad Dog to see a series of her unusual tablecloths. The artist studies various aspects connected with hospitality. In the practical part, we will prepare a set of unique napkins with slogans and pictures encouraging celebrating together at the table.
Workshop led by Agata Iżykowska-Uszczyk.
Registration via the application form (pl).
Please inform us at least three days in advance about resignation from participation in the workshop. This is the only way for participants entered on the reserve list to be able to take part in the workshop.
During the workshop, children are looked after by their parents, who also participate in the workshop activities.
Please be informed that during the workshops photographs can be taken for the needs of Wrocław Contemporary Museum, which may include the images of people taking part in the classes and images of works made by them. The photographs will be stored in an internal archive documenting the activities of MWW. They can also be used for promotional purposes on the website www.muzeumwspolczesne.pl and in social media (on websites facebook.com/muzeumwspolczesne, instagram.com/muzeumwspolczesne and youtube.com/muzeumwspolczesne). If you do not agree to have your photographs taken, please inform the person conducting the workshops before they start. Failing to provide such information before the beginning of the class workshop is tantamount to granting Wrocław Contemporary Museum consent to use the photographs as referred to above.
Detailed information about the subjects of future meetings will follow soon.
