We invite children from 4 to 11 years old and their parents, grandmothers or grandfathers to visit us on two Sundays of February (9, 16 and 23.02) at 1.30 PM.

The workshops last 90 min. and consist of two parts. At the beginning we all visit an exhibition that is currently showing at MWW and discuss the featured works. After that we move on to the manual part, which is intended to creatively use the aroused imagination and sensitivity.

9.02.2020 PERSONALITIES OF THE COLLECTION #3 OLAF BRZESKI

During the meeting we will learn about Olaf Brzeski’s work, which comprises many sculptures, installations and films. We will visit the exhibition Private Mythologies. Marta’s Birthday and focus particularly strongly on the work entitled Heart. Later, we will endow used and unnecessary objects with new value.

16.02.2020 PERSONALITIES OF THE COLLECTION #4 JERZY TRUSZKOWSKI

During the meeting we will discover the practice of Jerzy Truszkowski, a well-known painter and performer. We will visit the exhibition Private Mythologies. Marta’s Birthday to look at one of the artist’s works, which depicts the emblem of the non-existent state of Amerussia. During the practical part, we will take symbols of various countries and cities under the artistic magnifying glass.

23.02.2020 LEADER – WHO IS THAT?

While visiting Karolina Szymanowska’s exhibition Wave, we will look at the work entitled Hats. Together we will try to figure out the hidden meaning behind the repetitive movements of the eponymous objects. Is one of the hats a leader? During team activities and games, everyone will get a chance to become a leader for a moment – wear a “white baseball cap” and see what group management is all about.
