Programme of Sunday Family Workshops
/ May 2021:

16.05.2021 / ARTISTIC COLLECTIONS / 1.30–3.00 PM, online

We will look at Marlena Kudlicka’s works from the series Apostrophes, Catastrophes and Participles and Wanda Gołkowska’s work entitled Collection – Catalogue. We will dissect them into pieces to learn about notions such as a set or a system. In the practical part, we will create our own collages-compositions, designed according to previously invented rules.

Workshop led by Ignacy Oboz.

The purchase of works for the MWW collection was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund under the National Contemporary Art Collections programme.

30.05.2021 / A WORK OF ART ON A WALK / 1.30–3.00 PM

Can a work of art change? Looking for an answer to this question, we will look at works by Wanda Gołkowska (in which the moving elements prompt the viewer to act) and Marlena Kudlicka (to find out how our feelings change depending on our position towards the sculptures). In the practical part, we will include movement and light in our works.

Workshop led by Agata Iżykowska-Uszczyk.

Registration via the application form (pl).

If it is not possible to conduct the workshop on site due to the pandemic, it will be held online.

The number of participants is limited. Please register by Thursday before a given workshop, by 4 p.m.

Please sign up for the workshops – a maximum of 10 people (max. 5 families) can take part in the classes.

Please inform us at least three days in advance about resignation from participation in the workshop. This is the only way for participants entered on the reserve list to be able to take part in the workshop.

During the workshop, children are looked after by their parents, who also participate in the workshop activities.

Please be informed that during the workshops photographs can be taken for the needs of Wrocław Contemporary Museum, which may include the images of people taking part in the classes and images of works made by them. The photographs will be stored in an internal archive documenting the activities of MWW. They can also be used for promotional purposes on the website www.muzeumwspolczesne.pl and in social media (on websites facebook.com/muzeumwspolczesne, instagram.com/muzeumwspolczesne and youtube.com/muzeumwspolczesne). If you do not agree to have your photographs taken, please inform the person conducting the workshops before they start. Failing to provide such information before the beginning of the class workshop is tantamount to granting Wrocław Contemporary Museum consent to use the photographs as referred to above.

Detailed information about the subjects of future meetings will follow soon.
