We invite children from 4 to 11 years old and their parents on three Sundays of March (8, 22 and 29.03) at 1.30 PM.

The workshops last 90 min. and consist of two parts. At the beginning we all visit an exhibition that is currently showing at MWW and discuss the featured works. After that we move on to the manual part, which is intended to creatively use the aroused imagination and sensitivity.

Programme of Sunday Family Workshops
– March 2020:

8.03.2020 LIGHT AND SHADOW

Japanese deities, ghosts and apparitions were the starting point for Łukasz Rusznica’s series of photographs titled Subterranean River. The contrasting, poignant photographs of nature and people will lead us into a mysterious and unknown world. In the practical part, we will play a shadow theatre. Our actions will be inspired by descriptions of mythical Japanese heroes.

Instructor: Agata Iżykowska-Uszczyk.

Smooth and rough, light and heavy, transparent and full – juxtapositions of different properties and collisions of contrasts are the qualities of Karolina Szymanowska’s work entitled 15% Abstraction, presented at the Wave exhibition. 29.03.2020 COLOUR PALETTE

In Łukasz Rusznica’s photographs from the Subterranean River series we can notice the artist’s great interest in colour and its influence. In the practical part, we will experiment with the properties of paints, coloured films and plasticine. What is colour and how is it created? How do you mix colours to get new ones?
