WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS – SPRING

COLOURFUL SPACES
The first problem will be devoted to the concepts of color, space, and the relation between the two. During the workshop we will draw the participants' attention at the individual process of reality perception and suggest creative interference in the space around us. We will try to notice the dependencies between what is visible at first glance and what can be seen and created thanks to our sensitivity, imagination, and knowledge of the theory of color and vision. All this will help us see our local landscape in an unconventional way.


ADDICTED TO LIGHT
The second subject of the cycle before holiday concerns the notion of light and its presence in visual arts. We will examine the essence of different light effects occurring in the nature and their influence on the visible world. We will investigate how light shapes the surrounding reality and how it influences our emotional state. We will retrace the most interesting light effects occurring in the nature and science and we will present their influence on artistic activity.

LEXICON OF TRACES
The last subject of the workshops will be devoted to perfecting skills of close observation. We want it to be a training of sensitivity before holiday, because holiday is the time for relaxation and expanding views in a broad sense. We will observe the importance of the details that often occur on the verge of action and how artists can make artwork out of them. We will try to see how interesting can be the traces we leave behind – proofs of our presence. We will try to describe them and collect in a peculiar “lexicon of traces.”
