NEW RECOMMENDATIONS AND INFORMATION

Due to the ongoing epidemic, in addition to the current Tour Regulations [link], the following recommendations shall apply to visitors [link] from 18 May 2020 until further notice.

free: to be collected at the ticket office

free admission to:
– on Thursdays,
– self-service museum on the 2nd floor,
– during vernissages, debates and conferences, and 30 min. before they start.
 
 
GUIDED TOURS
guided tours for individuals and groups (attention, temporarily, due to the ongoing epidemic, the Museum offer guided tours only for groups under 10 people):
– in Polish: PLN 80 / group
– in English: PLN 100 / group
– in other foreign language: price determined individually

Additionally, all visitors have to purchase tickets in accordance with the current price list.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

cloakroom
– the cloakroom and lockers are temporarily closed

in the museum it is prohibited to
– bring and consume your own food or drink,
– bring animals into the exhibitions, except guide dogs,
– film, take photographs with a tripod or using a flash.

tickets
– the purchased ticket entitles you to visit all the exhibitions showing at MWW,
– reduced and free tickets are available upon presentation of a valid document entitling you to purchase them,
– you can pay by card for all tickets, regardless of the price,
– the museum does not book tickets in advance (except MultiBenefit and booking.com partner programmes).

parking
– the museum has no parking for visitors,
– exception is made for people using wheelchairs (entry to the car park from ul. Strzegomska, access through ul. Św. Pawła),
– free parking spaces can be found on the streets around MWW.

INFORMATION ABOUT DISCOUNTS

tickets at reduced prices (PLN 8) are available to:
– students of primary, secondary and artistic schools; students of teacher training colleges and colleges for social service workers; students and PhD students who are citizens of the member states of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation or the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area,
– persons over 65 years of age, retirees, pensioners, social pensioners and disabled persons with guardians (one guardian for each disabled person), who are citizens of the member states of the European Union,
– teachers of primary, secondary and artistic schools, higher education institutions, other educational and foster care institutions; instructors and educators working at educational care institutions, correctional institutions, juvenile shelters, diagnostic and consultative centres operating in the European Union member states,
(upon presentation of relevant documents confirming the right to the discount).

family tickets (PLN 20) are available to:
– families of one or two adults together with a maximum of three children up to the age of 15.

group tickets (PLN 10) are available to:
– each person visiting the museum in a group of no fewer than 15 people,
– admission for one group supervisor is free, each subsequent supervisor is entitled to a discounted ticket for PLN 5.

free tickets are available to:
– children under 6 years old,
– veterans, war invalids and repressed persons,
– members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM),
– members of the International Association of Art Critics,
– employees of cultural institutions, including employees of museums and state art galleries,
– Honorary Blood Donors,
– journalists,
– persons who have received the Order of the White Eagle, the War Order of Virtuti Militari, the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, the Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis, the Honorary Medal for Merit to Polish Culture,
– Pole’s Card holders,
– holders of the Family Plus 2+3 and more card,
(upon presentation of relevant documents confirming the right to the discount).
