We invite you to the next guided tour in the SocioPerception at the Museum series, during which we will view the exhibition States of Focus from the perspective of a sociologist Dr Dorota Majka-Rostek.

The exhibition not only presents the historical and international context of self-portraits, but also raises questions about the self-definition of women artists or the perception of the women’s role in society.

During the sociological walk with Dr Dorota Majka-Rostek, we will focus on those fragments of the exhibition in which artistic narratives intertwine with the socio-cultural issues.

Dr Dorota Majka-Rostek, head of Department of the Sociology of Gender and Family (University of Wrocław).
