On Sunday, January 20, at 3 pm in the space of the Meditations of Fibonacci + The Corduroy bunny | facing Katarzyna Kobro (1898–1951) exhibition, another tour in the Walk & Talk series will be led by mathematician Małgorzata Mikołajczyk.
While walking around the exhibition, we will learn the mathematical concepts that provided the inspiration for the featured works, such as the Fibonacci sequence and its relation to the golden ratio, the golden spiral, the phenomenon of self-similarity, Pascal’s triangle, the Mandelbrot set and the amazing Ulam spiral.

Małgorzata Mikołajczyk is the head of the Didactics and Popularisation of Mathematics Laboratory at the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Wrocław.
Walk & Talk is a cycle of lectures given during tours of exhibitions, in which the invited specialists from outside the art world interpret artworks. During the walks we stop by selected works in order to listen to a subjective story, discover surprising contexts and new semantic layers.
