Can an error be a source of inspiration in the art of photography? Can uncontrollable phenomena trigger interesting, unique associations that result in creative activity? Analysing an error – its cause and the consequences of its occurrence – may significantly expand the range of means of creative expression. The matter of the so-called error is multithreaded and multifaceted, from technical to philosophical issues. The exhibition does not focus on actions caused by the automatism of error, but those performed in a conscious manner. It features works by 70 artists from Lower Silesia representing different generations. This pluralism of attitudes, conventions and artistic concepts reveals the complexity and originality of this milieu on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Association of Art Photographers.
