Before we were taught divisions, we were taught to rock. Regardless of place and history, this gesture looks similar. On both sides of borders and conflicts, mothers sing with the same intention: to protect and save.
The lullaby predates the borders and languages that have attempted to name fear. It always begins with a simple gesture: leaning over someone and singing, soothing fears and nighttime anxieties. The first worldly connection is forged between mother and child: the rhythm of rocking, the repetition of the melody, the calming breath of the second breath.
The Kołysanki band ensemble combines traditional melodies with improvised music, creating a space for shared breathing and mindful listening. We invite you to return to ancient, soothing rituals to ward off evil spirits, slow your breathing, and close your eyes. This will be an evening of relaxation, lullabies, and relaxation—humming harmonies that embrace the soul like a warm blanket. All this accompanied by the golden glow of the setting sun on the roof of MWW.
